Artist's Note.
가려진 시선은 어떤 생각이나 의도를 파악하기 어렵다.
가려진 시선 안에 오롯이 개인의 느껴지는 감정과 관점으로 해석하기 나름이다.
눈은 언어로 표현하기 어려운 감정의 깊이를 전달할 수 있는 강력한 수단인 동시에 눈을 통해 상대의 미세한 감정과 의도를 감지하기도하고 반대로 자신의 감정을 상대에게 전달하기도 한다.
털 뭉치에 가려져 보이지 않는 눈은 자신의 내면을 의미하며, 보이는 것과 보이지 않는 경계선 상에서 깊은 내면에 존재하는 자아를 털 속에 가려져 보이지 않는 눈의 시선으로 표현해 보았다.
표면적으로 보이는 가치를 판단하기보다 깊은 내면의 가치에 주목하고, 깊이 있는 생각을 통해 내면의 목소리에 귀 기울이며, 자신이 진정으로 원하는 것이 무엇인지, 어떠한 가치를 중요하게 생각하는지,
또한 앞으로 어떻게 살아가야 하는지... 삶의 방향을 찾아가는 깊은 고뇌의 시간을 작품을 통해 전달해 보고자 했다.
스탠다드 푸들의 제멋대로 뻗어 있고 겹겹이 쌓인 수북한 털은 복잡한 우리의 인생을 얽히고 설켜 있는 많은 것들을 표현한 것이고, 그 사이사이에 서로 다른 복잡하고 다양한 털들이 그 자리를 메꾸듯이
우리의 다양한 경험과 상황들이 서로 얽히면서 큰 인생 소용돌이를 만들어가고, 지금의 내가 완성되어가는 상황과 그 과정을 의미한다.

A veiled gaze makes it difficult to discern thoughts or intentions.
Within a concealed gaze, emotions and perspectives are interpreted solely through personal perception.
Eyes are a powerful means of conveying emotions that are difficult to express in words. They allow us to detect subtle emotions and intentions in others while also expressing our own feelings.
Eyes hidden beneath tufts of fur symbolize the inner self. Standing on the boundary between what is visible and what is concealed, I have expressed the profound existence of the inner self through eyes veiled by fur.
Rather than judging based on surface-level values, I aim to highlight the significance of deeper inner values. Through deep contemplation, I encourage listening to the voice within—to discern what one truly desires, what values hold importance, and how to navigate life moving forward.
Through my work, I seek to convey a time of deep introspection in search of life’s direction.
The wildly growing and densely layered fur of the Standard Poodle represents the complexities of life, intertwined and overlapping. Just as the different, intricate strands of fur fill spaces between them, our diverse experiences and circumstances interweave to create the grand whirlwind of life.
This entanglement signifies the process through which we become who we are today, shaped by the intricate connections and experiences of our journey.
