Artist's Note.
현대 사회에서 관계는 점점 희미해지고 단절되기 쉽다. 이러한 현대적 맥락 속에서 관계와 인연의 중요성,
그리고 한 사람의 삶 속에 반복되어 이어지는 만남과 헤어짐을 작품 속 선과 면의 조합으로 개인적 경험과 보편적 메세지를 결합하여
예술이 삶의 본질을 탐구하는 도구가 될 수 있음을 보여주며 동양의 색감과 서양의 철학적 사유를 융합해 현대적 예술 세계로 구축하였다.
단색화의 각 색들은 감정과 삶의 에너지를 상징한다. 빨강은 생명과 에너지, 파랑은 고요함과 안정, 노랑은 희망과 생명력을 상징한다.
인연의 주제는 동양 철학에서 강조하는 조화와 균형의 미학과 연결되며 선과 면이 확장되어 형성된 구조는 자연의 질서와 인간 관계의 본질을 표현한다.
작업에서 가장 두드러지는 요소는 '선' 이기 때문에 주사기를 사용해 아크릴 물감을 실처럼 뽑아내고 이를 반복적으로 쌓아 올려 선을 단순한 시각적 요소를 넘어 관계와 화합의 축적을 상징한다.

In modern society, relationships are becoming increasingly faint and prone to disconnection. Within this contemporary context, my work emphasizes the importance of relationships and connections, as well as the recurring encounters and farewells that shape a person’s life. Through the combination of lines and planes, I merge personal experiences with universal messages, demonstrating how art can serve as a tool for exploring the essence of life. By integrating the color sensibilities of Eastern aesthetics with the philosophical reasoning of the West, I construct a modern artistic world.
The monochromatic colors in my work symbolize emotions and the energy of life. Red represents vitality and energy, blue conveys tranquility and stability, and yellow signifies hope and vibrancy. The theme of connections aligns with the Eastern philosophy of harmony and balance, while the expanded structures formed by lines and planes reflect the order of nature and the essence of human relationships.
The most prominent element in my work is the ‘line.’ To emphasize this, I use a syringe to extract acrylic paint into thread-like forms, repeatedly layering them. This process elevates lines beyond mere visual elements, turning them into a symbol of accumulated relationships and harmony.
